Marquee not in tent wizard

Top  Previous  Next

Hi,

I am quite new to PartyCAD, and my company wishes to use it for several large corporate presentations in the coming weeks. We have recently purchased some new Italian Marquees from Guilio Barbieri. I have attempted to build these tents in PartyCAD myself, using cylinders textured with wood grain and the roof of a 6 x 12m rope and pole marquee. The result is similar but ultimately inaccurate.

Is there a better way to build these Marquees? Or another way to replicate the look I am trying for? Because of the angles, the cylinders don't match up exactly, and the tents look a little strange in close up views. I have very little experience with CAD's, how can I improve on these tents? Obviously since they were built in the furnish module and then combined as a piece of furniture, they will not appear in the tent wizard (and also cannot have their dimensions changed). The walls have to be inserted as furniture pieces from the gallery. Is it possible to rectify this also?

Guilio Barbieri has been in touch with me regarding the tents they sold you, and I am working on adding them to PartyCAD's tent library. I think your attempts are pretty credible for a beginner. You will have to go with those for now, but I will let you know when my versions are ready. Its going slower than it should because the company has not been too quick to respond with the technical data I need, however the man who seems most interested in helping me seems to be traveling and things may improve when he returns to home base.

Later: The tents have been added. You can view and download them here.
