Get Rid of Ghosts in Design Editor

Question

I am doing a Picture as Plan style project. Things go fine until I get to the Design Editor, but then is seems that 'ghost' pieces appear when I move things on the dark background of my background picture. If I Return to the Page Editor and then come back to the Design Editor, the ghosts go away. How can I keep them from appearing?

Answer

This is normal behavior. The program works this way so as to be as responsive as possible. There are two ways to deal with the ghosts:

1. Any time you want to clean up the drawing and remove the annoying white outlines, the 'ghosts' as you say, click RedrawAll , the Zoom All / Redraw button at the bottom of the Design Editor menu.

2. Another way to go, and perhaps you will like this better… in the Design Editor, click Options / Refresh Plan Automatically. This causes the plan to refresh very frequently so the ‘ghosts’ never appear. This will slow down the response of the program, but on most modern computers you won't notice the difference.

Note: Dealing with ghosts is covered in the Picture as Plan 2 video.
