Sources of the Art in Toby’s Curse



All the illustrations in Toby's Curse were either in the public domain at the time the book was published, or were used with permission.

  

• Illustrations from publications prior to 1923 are automatically public domain under current copyright law.

• Images from government publications are also automatically in the public domain.

• Permission to use Clarion County Historical Society images was secured from Managing Director Mary Lee Lucas.

• Permission to use images from all the Clarion newspapers was obtained from Rodney Sherman, the Editor of the Clarion News. The Clarion News is the successor to the Clarion Democrat, Clarion Republican and Clarion Area News.

• Permission to use images from the Leader-Vindicator was obtained from Josh Walszak, Editor of the Leader-Vindicator.
